Lichen Caithness Reindeer Centre
is a unique visitor attraction, just off the NC500 Route.
We’ve been welcoming visitors since 2023. Our widely acclaimed ‘Reindeer Herder’ experience is not to be missed. Here guests can learn about these incredible animals and their habitats, and of course can meet our ‘celebrity’ boys, Sven, Levvi & Mr Antlers.
Our Reindeer journey began over twenty years ago with a chance trip to the Arctic Circle. A dream of bringing Reindeer to Caithness was born. A dream that never went away, but took two decades and a pandemic, to realise.
We believed we could do it. So we did.
We offer weekday evening ‘Your Evening as a Reindeer Herder’ sessions (Mon - Fri @ 6pm), as well as on selected weekends (Sat / Sun @ 10am). Seasonal special events are also available throughout the year.
